It’s our differences that make us better together. Being married ourselves, we fully understand each other’s strengths and weaknesses. We also know each other’s habits and tendencies. While I, Tricia, provide the emotional support for the couple to be, Bob handles everything technical. He is the Yin to my Yang and vice versa.
The Yin-Yang symbol (like our logo) represents the ancient Chinese understanding of how things work. The outer circle represents “everything,” while the black and white shapes within the circle represent the interaction of two energies, called “yin” (black) and “yang” (white), which cause everything to happen. They are not completely black or white, just as things in life are not completely black or white and they cannot exist without each other.
Bob and I need each other to capture all the details of our clients special day. Having been a bride and bridesmaid myself (10 times!), I know the stress and the thrill you are feeling. Everything from bow and bustle tying to calming the atmosphere, I step in to be the extra pair of reassuring hands. Bob does the same with the guys; from tying bow ties to pinning boutonnières. Without fail, besides taking photos, our vast wedding experience helps in ways we never imagined. Thanks to Bob’s constant research, we are up to date on the latest technology and gadgets. (Smilebooth anyone?) He makes sure the camera bags are packed with everything we need, while I double check that the babysitter has arrived. We communicate throughout the day from across the room without even speaking. We know where the other is at all times and what they are doing. This all happens seamlessly and makes for a very smooth and relaxing wedding day.
When we are not on the job we are at home with our 3 kids: Cam, Reese and Lincoln. They are a soccer star, pianist and a comedian. Not to brag but we are almost undefeatable on Rock Band for the Wii.
We still get butterflies when we arrive at a wedding. But, with cameras in hand and the Yin to our Yang there to complete us, we feel in control. You cannot have one without the other. And when they come together everything flows full circle.
